In preparation for a research project, we are looking for performances of operas and music theatre in the broadest sense after 1995 in the UK, the Benelux countries and Switzerland that deal with migration, Black Lives Matter and / or (de)coloniality in their staging or new composition, such as Insurrection at the Royal Opera House in London in 2023, Sycorax at Bühnen Bern 2022 or The Time of Our Singing at La Monnaie and St. Gallen. We are also interested in thematic objectives for opera seasons or festivals, such as "Migrating Worlds" at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. There will be a draw for 3 gift vouchers worth 1 x 50 CHF, 2 x 25 CHF of your choice for Amazon, Apple or Galaxus among all submissions of performances with place and year sent to performances.musik(at)unibe.ch by 14.8.
